| For The Holidays Another Christmas has arrived, thoughts turned to far and near, To family, friends, and places loved, and especially yesteryear, Viewed through the mist of time, our youth, wrapped warm in love and trust, For most of us, it seems, was just the best of times; it must. In terms of impact, though, to others, the days we pass through now, Can be the best ones of our lives - just wait - I'll tell you how; A kindly word, well spoken,or a small deed, well thought out; Made all the better by experience of happiness or doubt; These words or deeds do not come dear, their price need not be measured; But their effect can ripple down through time and be well treasured; Only through the fullness of experience can we well effect the young; Their memories of us will persist long past the days when we are done.
