NBC News’ Brian Williams: Founding Fathers “Terrorists”

This time Brian Williams of NBC Nightly News has gone too far. Reporting on the possibility that Iran’s President-elect was one of the hostage-takers in 1979, Williams made the comment, “…and indeed, what would it matter? The Founding Fathers were certainly revolutionaries and might have been called ‘terrorists’ by the British Crown.”

Bluto thinks Mr Williams owes the American public an apology, however he’s much nicer than me. I think Mr Williams owes us his resignation.

I’m real tired of demanding apologies from morons like this. Brian Williams makes his living verbalizing the news, Is it too much to ask or expect that people in his profession actually think about the implications of their words before ad-libbing. If it is too much then perhaps they should stick to reading the prompter.

I have a feeling Mr. Williams will be feeling a lot of heat in the next 24 hours. He’s already sparking some major pre-Fourth of July fireworks. For once, I’ll be interested in what he has to say. Stay tuned to his blog.
