BBC edits out the word terrorist

The BBC has re-edited some of its coverage of the London Underground and bus bombings to avoid labelling the perpetrators as “terrorists”, it was disclosed yesterday.

( … )

The BBC’s guidelines state that its credibility is undermined by the “careless use of words which carry emotional or value judgments”.

Consequently, “the word ‘terrorist’ itself can be a barrier rather than an aid to understanding” and its use should be “avoided”, the guidelines say.

Wow, it seems to me that if there is ever a proper time to make “value judgements” it would definitely be after the coldblooded intentional murder of innocents.

What, exactly, is it that is essential to be “understood” about those who blow up civilians in subway cars and busses, that would be “unaided” by naming such persons “terrorists”? All we need to understand is how to find them and kill them before they kill us. Of course, that’s beside the BBC’s point, which is that the bombers have legitimate grievances against BusHitler/McChimp and his lackeys in the U.K. (Blair and his crowd of running dogs), and that the British need to give them what they want (“No War For Oil!”) so they will stop killing the innocent. It’s difficult to sustain a civil society when its MSM can’t even learn a basic lesson in the futility of appeasing thugs that would be obvious from viewing an episode of “The Sopranos.”

Funny how you on the right always see things as black or white, up or down, good and evil. Well how about this…

Our President is a liar! Is that good or bad?

You know what’s really funny? It’s how you odd balls always see things obtusely.

Instead of making such a general claim why don’t you give us a specific instance when he lied with the proof to back it up and then we can comment, but as is you could be meaning that the President lied when he told Laura he liked her new dress.

I mean really Bernard the “Bush lied” mantra is so last election cycle.

  5. I think that Bernard is a plant by Karl Rove to make liberals look stupid.

Oh wait, they can do that well enough themselves.

    Demonstrate that he lied Bernard.

“You on the right.” Code words for Christians, Jews and other believers in the concepts of “good” and “evil.” Another tiresome “believer” in the cant of the New Elite: hypercomplex soultions for a hypercomplex world, and only the Left (i.e., the atheists) have the brain power to “figure it all out.” That’s about as “funny” a viewpoint as you can hold. Funny, that is, to those of us who actually possess intelligence, as opposed to those who merely “strike a pose.”
