Amaze me
Wake me up from my sleep
My soul is sinking deep
Amaze me
Show me magic and mystery
Passion and desire
Pull me out of my darkness
And set me on fire
Amaze me
Weave me colors and textures
Like long silken threads
Bring me to life
I feel like I’m dead
Amaze me
Show me emotions galore
And then give me more
Give me sunshine through rain
Laughter through pain
But above all else
Try and remember my name
And you’ll
Amaze me
Sad Anne

Sad Anne sits in her rocking chair on the front porch of her house
Knitting needles in her hands she’s quiet as a mouse
The cars that travel down the road pass without a glance
Sad Anne thinks of everything could there be a chance

Sad Anne has been sitting there since her husband walked away
Sitting in that rocking chair each and every day
Locked inside her own world replaying every word
Wondering what is happening and why is it so blurred

Sad Anne has sent the children to a neighbor down the street
Her husbands found another she’s young and oh so sweet
The screams that build inside her are tearing at her soul
Although they’ve not left  her they’ve left an empty hole

Sad Anne stumbles through her days now she’s lost all sense of rhyme or reason
Every moment is the same now there is no change or season
She’s painted her eyes black and dyed her hair that awful gothic red
Sad Anne is no longer with us in fact Sad Anne is dead
